Eliana is a rising junior at Bates College, originally from Madaba, Jordan, who is completing a double major in anthropology and psychology and a minor in theater. She is passionate about working for various social justice issues, especially encouraging linguistic diversity in scholarship and decolonizing areas of academia. When she is not attending class, Eliana is a student manager and a writing tutor at the Bates writing center with a special focus on supporting multilingual writers. Eliana enjoys tutoring high school students at local organizations, engaging in intense and thought-provoking debates, and working to improve her drawing skills.
